Gary Blackman (Producer and Co-Founder of ArtsPower) co-founded ArtsPower in 1985 with his identical twin brother, Mark. Gary serves as managing director and is responsible for booking ArtsPower’s shows in theatres and performing arts centers nationwide. He is the recipient of a 2018 Life Achievement Award from the Paramus (NJ) Regional Chamber of Commerce. Gary served as a Council Member on the New Jersey State Council on the Arts from 2013 to 2018. He is a graduate of Columbia College in New York City and received a Master’s in Music Education from the School of Music at Florida State University. He is also a graduate of the Commercial Theatre Institute in New York City. Gary and his wife, Amy, are the proud parents of Emma, an aspiring singer/songwriter (www.emmablackmanmusic.com).
Mark Blackman (Producer and Co-Founder of ArtsPower) co-founded ArtsPower in 1985 with his twin brother, Gary, and currently serves as director of development. Mark is a graduate of Columbia College, Columbia University and received his Masters of Music Education degree from Florida State University’s School of Music. He is also a graduate of the Commercial Theatre Institute. Mark is responsible for ArtsPower’s fundraising and marketing efforts. In a former life, Mark was a jazz saxophone player who was recognized by Downbeat magazine with a “db Student Recording Award” while at FSU. He is the recipient of grant awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, one of which resulted in a year of study with jazz recording artist Eddie Daniels. Mark is married to Leslie Sutton-Smith, and they are both very proud of their daughters Alyssa and Kelly, son-in-law Jamie, and granddaughter Nina.
Suzanne Tuck (Senior Sales Associate) joined ArtsPower in 2016 and works part-time to help sell the National Tour and ArtsPower Theatre On Demand. Her background includes a long career with Merrill Lynch as Vice President of Communications Planning and Administration in the Marketing & Communications area. Later, while raising her two sons, Suzanne worked as Office Manager at the Women’s Club of Glen Ridge, managing their events and rental business. Suzanne is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a BA in Sociology. She lives in Glen Ridge, NJ with her husband, Andy, in an “on and off” empty nest.
Isabel Blatt (Associate Producer) received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Educational Support Services from Bucknell University. After working professionally in education and psychology for several years, Isabel is happily immersed, once again, in theater. She has loved being part of the development team for ArtsPower Theatre On Demand and is excited to see it continue to grow. Isabel’s love of reading, combined with her multifaceted background in theater, visual art, and education, provides support to ArtsPower’s client base and the team of talent that masterfully creates, stages, and performs our work.
